A truffle hunt becomes a shared woodland discovery for a mother and son. They crouch close together beside an oak tree as she opens her palm to show one rough black truffle. The boy leans toward her with an eager smile, while their black Labrador continues to investigate the disturbed leaf litter nearby.

Tiny flowers cover the mother's glossy floral raincoat, contrasting with the child's geometric jacket and checked scarf. Damp leaves, moss and bark keep the setting richly textured. The wider view includes the dog's searching posture, the small patch of soil and both clear faces. Soft morning light threads between the trees, giving the quiet discovery a sense of adventure.
