Violet cobwebs light the corn stalk tunnel
Published · Updated
Violet cobwebs turn an ordinary side path into a Halloween passage. Fine artificial strands stretch across a series of visible wooden frames, with open space left below for walking. Black toy spiders cling to the upright posts and webbed corners. Their soft bodies and bent legs remain recognizable as decorations within the larger display.
Tied bundles of dry leaves make the corn stalk tunnel feel full without concealing its structure. Ground lights send violet patches through the fibers and across the nearby plants. The color continues onto the damp stone paving, where fallen maple leaves break up the reflections. Warm light from the brick house adds a contrasting glow along one side.
A small garden shed waits at the far end with a bright square window. Its light draws the eye through the repeating frames and gives the passage a welcoming destination. Above the tunnel, a gold-leaved tree stands against a clear cobalt evening sky. Timber, corn husks, cottony strands and wet stones keep the theatrical arrangement firmly connected to familiar backyard materials.
