A Bottle Tree Catches the Garden Sun
Published · Updated
The bottle tree catches low sunlight in a cluster of cobalt glass and emerald green. Different bottle shapes tip outward from curved dark branches, their narrow necks fitted over individual metal supports. Some are slender and tall, while others have rounded shoulders or broader bases. The changing outlines make the sculpture feel lively without hiding its simple construction.
A solid trunk rises from the middle of a circular planted bed. Low thyme spreads around its base, softening the edge where metal meets the garden. The brick path curves around this central patch and continues behind the tree. Small variations in the old paving bring warm brown and muted red into the lower part of the photograph.
Purple flower spikes and fine golden grasses surround the sculpture at different heights. Beyond them, mature branches cast dappled shade across a white garden building. Bright edges travel through the colored bottles while their thicker bases remain darker. The generous portrait view follows the whole arrangement from its grounded base to the highest blue bottle, placing the playful glass firmly within a living garden.
