A giant beach ball hangs briefly between three friends in the middle of a lively garden game. One man has just sent it across the courtyard, while another bends his knees and raises both hands to receive it. Their friend watches from the center with an open smile and her hands ready to join the next pass. The ball’s broad coral, turquoise and white panels stand out against the dense planting.

The tiled courtyard gives the game a generous, level setting. Blue and cream geometric patterns spread across the floor and continue along the steps behind the players. Large terracotta pots hold flowers and leafy plants around the edges, leaving the middle clear. High cream arches and a balustrade frame the space above them.

Magenta bougainvillea spills over the masonry, with palms and a narrow dark tree rising beyond the wall. Strong sunlight catches the ball’s glossy seams and makes crisp shadows across the tiles. Each friend reacts differently to the same airborne object, keeping the scene connected and lively. The extravagant garden setting turns a simple passing game into a bright and memorable afternoon.
