A passion flower opens its purple rings
Published · Updated
A passion flower opens its purple and white rings above glossy leaves. Fine radial filaments surround the raised green center, while broad pale petals and sepals form a lighter outer layer. Yellow-green anthers project from the central column beneath the curved purple styles.
Small water drops cling to the flower and the lobed leaves around it. A coiled tendril curls near the vine, adding a thin spiral beside the many straight filaments. Soft garden light reaches the bloom from the side and leaves the deeper foliage in a rich green shade. The close frontal view keeps the attached floral structures readable while preserving the living vine and its damp leafy setting.
