An elephant tosses dust over its back
Published · Updated
An elephant tosses a broad arc of dust over its back, lifting its curled trunk above the heavy shoulders. Fine particles catch the low light before settling onto wrinkled skin and the dry ground below. Small rounded ears, modest tusks and a relaxed tail keep the animal’s calm posture clear.
Tall dry grasses frame the near edge of the clearing, with scattered broadleaf trees and deeper green woodland beyond. The translucent dust briefly warms the space around the elephant without hiding its form. The low viewpoint leaves room around the whole animal, connecting the small act of bathing with the broad, quiet setting and its angled afternoon light.
