Backyard water games fill the lawn with bright droplets as a father and son aim their colorful water blasters. The boy stands beside the flower border while his father crouches near a blue garden tub. Both wear opaque summer clothing and shoes, and their laughing expressions connect the two sides of the game.

A low lawn sprinkler sends several narrow arcs through the foreground. Red, white and blue summer bunting crosses the garden behind them, with matching pinwheels among the flowers. The small shed, large shade tree and wet grass create a familiar outdoor setting. Sunlight from the side makes the flying water easy to follow without hiding either face.
