Crystal Fringe under the Copper Flower Crown
Published · Updated
A huge ring of crystal strands hangs above an empty banquet salon, topped with a generous crown of copper-colored foliage and small white flowers. Hundreds of clear drops catch the warm light, forming a fine curtain around an open center. The bronze frame remains visible between the crystals and the feathery arrangement, giving the elaborate decoration a strong, simple outline. Slim suspension cables lead up to the coffered wooden ceiling.
Below, white-linen tables curve around the open parquet floor. Glasses, pale plates and low autumn arrangements repeat the colors of the overhead crown at a smaller scale. Tall arched windows reveal a rain-dark garden and the blue light of early evening. Amber lamps warm the paneled walls, while the floor holds soft reflections of the room and its crystal centerpiece. No guests are present, so the photograph captures the decorated space in a moment of stillness. Its tall composition moves from the shining wood underfoot to the tiny facets and fern fronds above.
