Dragon blood trees spread their umbrella crowns
Published · Updated
Dragon blood trees spread their umbrella crowns across a rocky plateau. The nearest canopy reveals repeated upward-forking branches beneath a dense layer of pointed green leaves. Farther trees stand at different heights and distances, their pale thick trunks creating clear vertical shapes below the broad domed tops.
Cream limestone, small stones and dark shrubs cover the ground between them. Bright side light projects branching shadows across these rough surfaces, while distant escarpments fade toward a thin blue sea horizon. The low view keeps both the canopy structure and the wider grove visible, making the unusual tree forms feel rooted in a dry, expansive landscape.
