Fishing net repair spreads across the jetty in a broad rust-red pattern. Two men sit opposite one another, leaning toward a section of mesh between their hands. A wooden net shuttle and loose twine make the small repair visible within the much larger sweep of rope, floats and open netting.

The high diagonal viewpoint shows how the harbor craft occupies the boards around both stools. Yellow waterproof trousers, a striped sweater and darker knitwear distinguish the two figures without drawing attention away from their shared work. Water beside the jetty supplies a cool edge to the warm mesh, while their turned faces keep the exchange personal.
