Funhouse crossing brings a shared laugh

Published · Updated

A funhouse crossing brings a father and son into an easy shared laugh. They walk toward the near end of a straight bridge, each holding the rail on his own side. The father looks across in a muted paisley shirt, while his son turns toward him in a teal denim jacket. Their faces and clothing remain clear against the colorful movement around them.

The circular tunnel fills the upper frame with turquoise, violet and orange dots. Metal ribs follow its curved shell, separating the patterned panels into visible sections. Below, mesh barriers line the fixed walkway and a textured dark surface continues beneath the complete shoes. The difference between the stable bridge and surrounding curved color gives the amusement its visual character.

A doorway glows at the far end, making the route through the apparatus easy to follow. The photograph includes the ordinary fittings that hold the experience together: rail posts, panel joints and the narrow walking deck. Within that practical structure, the exchanged smiles become the center of a memorable outing.
