Small overlaps near one side keep the arrangement loose. The water holds a pale reflection of the nearby window between the floating leaves.

The shallow ceramic vessel has a mottled glaze and an uneven handmade finish. Its broad rim curves above coarse linen, which gathers into soft folds across a dark oak table. Two additional leaves lie outside the bowl, continuing the yellow color into the foreground. Each has a slightly different split and curled edge.
