Green mushrooms glow on the forest floor

Published · Updated

Green mushrooms glow on the forest floor in a scattered colony along a fallen log. Thin stems hold small shallow caps above the damp bark, and the nearest tilted mushroom reveals delicate radial gills. The green light stays close to the fungi, gently touching the wood beside their stems.

Curled brown leaves and fine moss surround the log, with cooler blue light barely revealing the deeper woodland. Smaller caps recede into shadow along the cracked surface. The low close viewpoint brings the growing structures into focus while keeping their setting quiet and dark, showing a tiny patch of natural light within the larger texture of the forest floor.
