Halloween Stickers after the Party

Published · Updated

Halloween stickers become the last little game of the evening. A father reclines on a patterned rug while his younger daughter presses a sticker onto his cheek. She sits across his waist in a soft dark cat costume. Her older sister holds the backing sheet and covers a giggle with her free hand, already involved in the next part of their plan. Dad's small smile suggests that he is happy to play along.

The cat costumes have simple ears and soft fabric that folds naturally where the children sit. Their close positions, supported weight and shared attention make the joke easy to follow. Warm light falls across faces, sleeves, cushions and the rug together, leaving the room's deeper corners gently shaded.

The party aftermath extends beyond the family. Paper decorations cross the window, small seasonal ornaments fill a wooden cabinet, and scattered confetti remains on the floor. A cat rests on the sofa among blankets. Seen through the doorway, the room holds the warmth and untidiness of an evening that nobody quite wants to end.
