Honeycomb Moons Fill the Halloween Theatre
Published · Updated
Honeycomb paper moons fill the upper space of an old theatre, descending from the ceiling in a broad sweep toward the stage. Pumpkin orange, aubergine and butter yellow give the installation a Halloween palette without relying on frightening imagery. The open cells of the paper catch the warm practical lights, while the burgundy proscenium provides a darker border around the arrangement. Rows of empty seats lead the eye toward the small upright piano.
The room is ready for a singalong. A piano bench has been drawn back, and songbooks rest neatly on the tiered velvet benches near the front. These practical details suggest the gathering that is about to begin, even though no people are present. The view from a balcony doorway shows both the scale of the overhead decoration and the orderly spaces below it. Cool evening light remains in the high windows, balanced by the warmer lamps inside. Simple folded paper has become the main feature of a complete event setting.
