Log rolling turns a quiet pond into a playful test of balance. Two adults face each other on one floating log, bending their knees and holding their arms apart as the rounded surface moves beneath their water shoes. The yellow end caps mark the length of the timber against the darker water.

Their navy, teal and green sportswear brings small blocks of color to the reed-lined setting. Tiny splashes and broken reflections show the movement without hiding their separate stances. A low timber pavilion sits beyond the pond, keeping the scene rooted in an ordinary recreation ground. The bank-side view makes their concentrated expressions and changing balance part of the same lively exchange.
