A matchstick bridge reaches across the table
Published · Updated
A matchstick bridge stretches across the worktable in a long open arch. Repeated triangular trusses give the small structure an intricate rhythm, with each pale wooden piece catching the lamp light. One hand steadies the near edge while the other brings fine tweezers to a brace. The close working view reveals tiny joints that would disappear in a more distant photograph.
Miniature boats rest along a blue fabric river beneath the span. Small piers, patches of model greenery and a dish of unused sticks explain the bridge's scale. A plain glue bottle and spare tools remain within reach on the dark tabletop. The camera follows the arch toward the workshop window, connecting precise handwork with the whole structure. Warm wood and cool fabric keep the many fine lines easy to distinguish.
