A mechanical orrery spreads its brass arms across a workbench beside the rainy window. Coloured spheres surround a larger golden central globe, with exposed brass gears, upright shafts and a side crank arranged above the wooden base. Two desk lamps bring out the grain, polished metal and small surface differences between the planets.

The planet model sits within a working room rather than a blank display. Loose tools and parts remain along the table, while a courtyard tree and illuminated windows appear beyond the wet glass. Warm light across the mechanism meets cool blue evening outside, leaving a quiet space around the object and its intricate shadows.
