Musical Chairs Party by the River
Published · Updated
The musical chairs party reaches the moment when four friends discover there are only three seats. Two players have settled into yellow wooden chairs, another reaches toward the remaining place, and the last stands with open hands and a laughing expression. A cobalt dress with orange flowers, emerald trousers and patterned shirts give each person a distinct burst of color.
Red paper decorations and cream streamers hang above the group. Beyond the open boathouse doors, the river has turned blue beneath a pink evening sky. The raised viewpoint makes the chair arrangement and exchanged glances easy to follow, while the dark floor gives the cheerful clothes and furniture room to stand out.
