Perspective Chair Installation in the Courtyard
Published · Updated
A perspective chair installation reveals its separated parts across the courtyard. Two oversized teal posts stand in the foreground, joined by a low rail, while a smaller chair sits farther back. Beside it, a kneeling maker holds a taut alignment string that leads toward a peg near the large painted wooden structure.
Seen from the side, the optical illusion setup exposes the gap that a different viewpoint would bring into play. Worn paint, visible timber joints and scattered leaves keep the arrangement tangible. Brick walls and tall windows enclose the space, with a small toolbox beside the maker and enough open paving to follow the line between the pieces.
