The Brick Vault Vintners Room
Published · Updated
Orange brick vaults meet in precise curved seams above the tasting table in this warm cellar room. Pale limestone arches frame tall oak racks filled with dark bottles, their rounded ends creating a quiet repeating pattern. Bronze lanterns hang beneath the masonry and bring out the varied colour of each brick. At the far end, a small window reveals blue evening sky behind russet leaves, adding a cool accent to the warm stone.
A thick oak table stands at the centre, surrounded by brown leather chairs and set with clear glasses, a simple jug and a bowl of grapes. Glass-fronted cabinets hold plain wooden boxes and folded linen, while the worn floor shows shallow marks and irregular stone edges. The photograph keeps the ceiling construction, storage bays and central furniture together in one generous view. Its atmosphere comes from the meeting of practical materials: strong timber, durable stone, dark glass and soft leather, all revealed by the gentle light of the lanterns.
