The Circular Timber Booth Restaurant
Published · Updated
A row of enormous circular timber booths creates small rooms within this high dining hall. Closely fitted wooden boards curve around each enclosure, edged by broad dark metal bands. Leather benches and simple tables sit inside the deep openings, lit by individual shaded pendants. Low supports beneath the shells explain their weight and give the repeated circles a grounded rhythm.
Outside the booths, square wooden tables and dark leather chairs fill the generous central space. Plain plates, clear glasses and bowls of yellow pears create a restrained harvest setting. Above, substantial timber trusses follow the length of the hall. Full-height windows reveal red and gold vineyard rows beneath a low evening sun.
The interior balances a surprising seating idea with familiar materials. Warm boards, worn leather and dark metal suit the autumn landscape, while the large glazing keeps the room open to its surroundings. Each booth offers an intimate place to sit, yet the sequence can be appreciated as one architectural gesture. Seen together with the exposed roof and sunset view, the circular enclosures give the restaurant a clear and memorable identity.
