The Limestone Cove Dining Room
Published · Updated
A vast limestone arch shelters this dining room above the sea. The rough ceiling is full of small hollows and layered edges, illuminated by warm lamps tucked against the rock. White ceramic pendants hang over tables dressed in ivory linen, while slender dark chairs keep the arrangement light. The main opening frames a quiet headland and the low sun, bringing the cool water and warm evening sky into the restaurant's view.
Curved timber terraces follow the shape of the cavern, connected by broad pale stone steps. A fine metal railing traces the outer edge without interrupting the seascape. Candles and simple glassware add smaller points of light across the tables, and a second rock opening reveals another glimpse of the coast. The contrast between crisp cloth, polished timber and weathered stone gives the whole space its character. With every table empty, the architecture and setting remain easy to appreciate.
