The Sky Painted Dining Hall
Published · Updated
Painted coastal landscapes fill the high ceiling of this elegant dining hall. Cream arches and gilded borders divide the scenes, echoing the immense windows along the outer wall. Beyond the glass, a pale stretch of water and misty wooded hills repeat the colours overhead. Globe chandeliers and small wall lamps cast a warm light through the room, while the cool view keeps the richly decorated space from feeling enclosed.
Rows of blue leather booths line the central aisle. Dark polished wood, brass posts and textured glass screens give each table a sheltered setting without breaking the long view through the hall. White tablecloths, slim stemware and small vases of white orchids make the tables feel carefully prepared. The black-and-cream stone floor reflects the chandeliers in soft patches, adding depth beneath the quiet furniture. Tall palms introduce a little green among the cream walls and dark wood.
