A towering ivory stove gives this salon its remarkable character. Its rounded tiled surface rises almost to the ceiling, ending in a sculpted crown of upright leaves and layered ceramic mouldings. Fine seams follow the curve of the heater, while a brass vent and polished firebox door introduce small warm highlights. The dark circular hearth makes the immense pale form feel firmly rooted in the room.

Blue sofas and carved wooden armchairs gather around an oval table. Copper-coloured branches spread from a dark vase above books and small objects, adding a gentle autumn note to the wintry scene. Beyond the tall windows, snow rests on trees and garden walls. Soft curtains frame this cool view without obscuring it.

The room balances generous scale with intimate furnishing. A faded patterned rug softens the herringbone floor, and small lamps give the grey-blue walls a warm glow. White plaster borders and a ceiling rose echo the intricate stove crown. Seen through an open doorway, the whole arrangement feels quiet and inviting, with the unusual heater serving as both a practical centrepiece and a piece of architectural craft.
