The Diamond Glass Palm Atrium

Published · Updated

A white geometric framework spreads across the high glass roof of this palm atrium, dividing the blue sky into a field of clear facets. Tall palms rise beneath it, their rough trunks and broad crowns giving scale to the immense room. Alternating opaque and reflective panels continue the pattern across the far wall, while a slender gallery with glass railings follows one side. Bright winter sunlight draws angled shadows across the pale stone floor.

Dense borders of ferns and glossy leaves soften the base of the structure, leaving a broad path through the room. Low charcoal sofas and simple round oak tables form quiet seating groups beside the planting. The light remains clear enough to reveal individual fronds, glass joints and the grain of the furniture. The photograph shows a generous indoor garden where architecture and planting share the height, with the roof's precise pattern set against irregular natural foliage. Open floor space and restrained furnishings keep the view airy from the nearest seat to the distant doors.
