The dragon balance trail crosses woodland
Published · Updated
The dragon balance trail winds through the woodland just above a soft woodchip path. A girl takes a careful step along its broad back while smiling toward her father beside her. Her arms rest loosely away from her sides for balance. He walks at the same pace, looking toward her with an encouraging expression rather than directing the moment.
A large friendly dragon head occupies the foreground. Its carved eyes, rounded nose and gently smiling mouth introduce the long painted body behind it. Golden ridges sit along the sides, leaving a clear walking surface through the middle. Short timber supports hold the beam low above the ground, and cracks in the paint reveal the grain of the carved timber.
Ferns and moss soften the bases of the surrounding trees. Raised wooden platforms and simple railings appear farther back between the trunks. Sunlight filters through the leaves in small patches, catching the mustard cardigan and the beam’s curved edge. The generous forest setting and the modest shared smile make the imaginative playground feel familiar and welcoming.
