The Tree House Lit on Halloween Night
Published · Updated
High in an old oak, a small wooden tree house glows beneath a blue night sky. Thick branches divide around its walls and reach beyond the roof, carrying fine twigs across the moon. The balcony follows the shape of the trunk, with rough timber posts and a line of orange pumpkin lanterns fixed to its railing. Warm light fills the windows, while a narrow pale beam crosses the wooden interior.
A rope ladder hangs from the balcony to the ground, its uneven rungs standing out against the darker bark. At the foot of the tree, carved pumpkins light a carpet of dry leaves. Their small pools of orange reveal deep ridges in the roots and trunk. A nearby house is visible through the branches, adding a quiet suggestion of the surrounding garden. The low viewpoint gives the tree its great height and keeps the little building nestled within it. Moonlight defines the upper branches, while the windows and lanterns make the handmade structure feel sheltered and inviting.
