The Wind Has Folded the Forest
Published · Updated
The trees carry the shape of the coast in their branches. Pale trunks curve in the same direction, and the joined crowns form a long low shelter above the grass. A narrow path follows the edge of this living roof. Beyond the nearest trunk, open water and a line of cliffs explain the exposed setting without distracting from the grove itself.
Morning light catches the rough bark and the outer blades of grass, while the space beneath the canopy stays cool and dark. Fine branches stretch almost horizontally, each supported by a thicker curve below. The repeated lean gives the scene a strong rhythm, but the individual trees remain irregular. Roots cross the ground beside the path, making the canopy feel firmly connected to the headland.
This photograph combines the detail of a close tree with a complete coastal view. Its tall framing follows the route beneath the branches and works well as a phone wallpaper or an image for a nature-inspired page.
