Two fan worms open their blue-edged crowns
Published · Updated
Two fan worms open their pale blue crowns above a rough reef surface. Fine radiating branches spread from orange centers, with smaller hairlike details visible along each strand. The nearer crown opens broadly toward the camera, while the second rises behind it at a slightly different angle.
Short tubular bases emerge together from the ochre rock, giving the delicate fans a clear attachment. Dark teal water fills the space beyond, with a few soft suspended particles adding depth. Cool underwater light catches the translucent tips and the granular texture below, setting the airy branching forms against a dense, uneven surface without losing their small marine scale.
