White cotton bolls fill the autumn field
Published · Updated
White cotton bolls fill the autumn field beneath a low golden sun. Soft fibers push out from split brown capsules on thin woody stems, with dry leaves curled beside them. One green unopened boll remains near the top of the closest branch.
The nearer cotton catches delicate warm edges of light, showing uneven lobes and fine strands against the darker stems. Beyond, rows of low plants extend toward a flat horizon dotted with white bolls. A narrow aisle of dry earth runs alongside the foreground planting and gives the field a clear direction. The view at plant height connects the tactile near fibers to the larger agricultural pattern under a pale peach sky.
