A concrete water tower sweeps above the meadow

Published · Updated

A concrete water tower rises above the meadow with a broad curved reservoir held on slender supports. Two pale faces meet at a sharp seam, and a shallow sweep along the lower edge gives the large tank a distinctive outline. Formwork marks and weather stains reveal the scale of the concrete.

Tawny grasses fill the near ground, while golden birches stand well below the elevated structure. Side light reaches one face and leaves another in cool shadow, making the tank’s depth visible against the clear blue sky. The low angle combines practical columns and a recessed service core with the openness of the surrounding autumn landscape.
