A moss hand lifts a glass garden
Published · Updated
A moss hand rises from a stone planter and cradles a glass terrarium high above the surrounding garden. Green fingers curve around the bowl, while fern fronds and dark soil remain visible through its reflective surface. The installation turns the familiar shape of a small planter into a striking outdoor landmark, with ivy climbing the wrist and smaller plants spilling across the base.
Clipped hedges and gravel paths extend around the sculpture, giving its unusual scale a clear setting. Copper leaves soften the stone architecture behind it, and low sunlight catches droplets on the glass. Dense moss, rough masonry and delicate foliage create several layers of texture without hiding the simple gesture of a hand holding a garden.
