A paper Halloween town opens in the suitcase
Published · Updated
A paper Halloween town fills an open suitcase on a wooden table. Black houses stand in overlapping rows, their roofs and narrow walls forming a small uneven skyline. Glowing windows make each building feel distinct, while bare paper trees reach between them. The suitcase’s upright lid provides a dark backdrop for the handmade shapes.
Three bats hang from fine visible lines above the miniature street. Their simple silhouettes extend the town upward without crowding its roofs. The worn leather case and firm table keep the display anchored in ordinary household materials. Thin paper edges and the translucent warmth behind the windows reveal the modest scale of the construction.
Rain streaks the real window beside the case. Cool daylight comes through the wet glass, balancing the small amber lights within the houses. Reflections and branch shadows add depth around the display, but the paper remains crisp enough to read as carefully cut shapes. The vertical composition joins the tabletop world to the larger window. It turns a portable old case into an intimate seasonal scene with its own miniature evening.
