A red mountain refuge stands beneath the peaks
Published · Updated
A red mountain refuge stands on a rough stone base beneath immense gray peaks. Its steep green roof and small white-framed upper window give the simple cabin a clear outline. Weathered red cladding, metal seams and a plain lower shutter keep the practical construction visible within the broad view.
A narrow footpath crosses ochre grasses and mossy boulders toward the shelter. High gullies retain thin patches of snow, while farther ridges fade into broken cloud. A shaft of warm light reaches the red wall, making the small building stand out without diminishing the scale of the surrounding rock and the remote setting around it.
