A large copper tree sculpture with hanging purple glass beads stands on a dark plinth in a domed stone rotunda.

Amethyst Bead Tree in the Rotunda

Published · Updated

A towering copper tree spreads its branches beneath the glass dome of this stone rotunda. Twisted metal strands form the trunk, roots and limbs, while long clusters of amethyst and pale lilac beads hang like wisteria flowers. Individual pieces catch small points of light, creating a delicate shimmer around the strong branching structure. The dark circular plinth gives the sculpture a clear, grounded base.

Pale columns and tall walnut doors surround the tree, with simple benches providing a quiet sense of scale. Cool daylight enters through the dome, where bare branches are visible outside, while warm floor lights bring out the copper’s polished curves. The restrained room allows the purple glass and metal workmanship to remain the focus. This photograph offers inspiration for large decorative sculptures, bead craft and installations that transform familiar botanical shapes into a new material language. Its complete view makes both the overall silhouette and the many small hanging details easy to appreciate. It is free to use for personal and commercial projects.
