An auricula theatre fills with small flowers
Published · Updated
An auricula theatre fills four teal shelves with small flowering plants. Aged terracotta pots hold low green leaf rosettes beneath clusters of purple, burgundy, pink and yellow blooms. Pale flower eyes and lighter petal rims give each cluster a clear center against the dark painted backing.
The freestanding cabinet has a shallow sloping hood and sturdy legs resting on stone paving. A metal watering can stands beside it, while climbing greenery softens the honey-colored masonry wall behind. Gentle angled daylight reveals chalky pot rims, worn paint and the different heights of the flower stems. The oblique view preserves shelf depth and the gaps between the plants, making the elaborate display feel carefully tended and physically grounded.
