An upturned boat shelters the coastal tool shed
Published · Updated
An upturned boat shelters the coastal tool shed with its curved hull forming the roof and sides. Weathered planks follow the old boat shape toward a raised keel ridge above the entrance. A simple front wall closes the end, with a narrow faded-teal door set among horizontal gray boards.
The shelter rests on a low stone plinth beside a coil of rope, wooden crates and white daisies. Tall grasses lead toward the quiet tidal water beyond. Fresh light after rain reveals wet grain and patches of worn paint, keeping the unusual roof clear within a modest working space shaped by timber, stone and the surrounding coast.
