A young girl braces her red boots among the dry vines and wraps her arms around a large orange pumpkin. Her cheeks tighten with the effort, while the long ends of her blonde hair catch the low sunlight. A mustard coat and thick cream scarf keep the scene firmly in autumn.

Behind her, her father bends forward with both hands on his knees and laughs at the attempt. His navy knitted jumper stands against the warm field colours. Both faces remain clear, making their shared reaction the centre of the picture. Smaller pumpkins lie across the ground around them, marked with soil and the irregular lines of their skins.

A red barn, wooden wagon and trees in orange leaf fill the background. Light from the left catches hair, wool and pumpkin edges before fading into the darker foreground. The low viewpoint makes the pumpkin feel substantial without losing the family moment. This cheerful harvest scene suits pumpkin-picking invitations, seasonal farm features and pages about outdoor family days.
