Blue ceramic bells hang above the herb beds
Published · Updated
Blue ceramic bells hang above the herb beds at different heights. Ivory speckles break up the deep cobalt glaze, and cream cords connect the top loops to a weathered timber beam. Pale clappers sit within the hollow undersides, with small ceramic beads dangling below.
The five bells have gently uneven flared rims and slightly different tilts, giving the display a handmade character. Flowering thyme and rosemary fill the lower garden, with a few pots and rough stonework farther behind. Soft evening light creates small reflections on the glaze and reveals the fibers of the twisted cords. The diagonal view keeps the beam's upright support visible while leaving green garden depth beyond the suspended forms.
