Coastal Fog Collectors along the Rocky Ridge
Published · Updated
Coastal fog collectors follow the rocky ridge in a line of tall mesh panels. Tiny beads of moisture catch the light on the nearest screen, while the farther frames gradually disappear into pale mist. Guy wires, metal posts and a narrow gutter connect the delicate-looking mesh to the rough ground beneath it.
A dark hose leads toward a plain brown tank below the first panel. The mesh water collection setup shares the frame with dry grasses, russet soil and dark shore rocks. Across the misty coastal ridge, soft sunlight gives depth to the receding screens, creating a quiet scene where practical structures become part of the landscape.
