Crimson celosia folds fill the garden border in a mass of unequal crested flower heads. Their tightly curled surfaces range from bright raspberry to deep burgundy, with fine droplets catching light along the raised edges. Stout red stems carry the heavy blooms above broad green leaves with clear branching veins.

The nearest crest fills one side of the view, while further heads rise at different heights behind it. Bronze grasses and a low stone edge give the planting a wider autumn setting. Warm sunlight grazes the folds and leaves darker recesses between them, emphasizing the unusual soft texture against the rough soil and fallen leaves below.
