Floral Clock Colors the Lakeside Promenade
Published · Updated
A floral clock spreads across a circular flower bed beside a quiet lake. Two long dark hands meet above the planting at a central hub, while simple hour blocks mark the outer ring. Scarlet flowers, cream blossoms, lime foliage and deep purple leaves form broad bands beneath them. The contrast gives the familiar clock face an unusually rich living surface.
A low clipped border and narrow brick rim hold the circle neatly against the lawn. Fine stems and individual blossoms remain visible within the larger pattern. The hands cast small shadows across the plants, making their raised construction clear. Damp paving curves through the foreground and catches soft reflections of the bright sky.
Beyond the clock, pale benches face the lakeside promenade. A stone balustrade separates the path from the water, with flowering shrubs filling the spaces around it. Long willow branches drape from the left, and a red maple marks the opposite side. The open lake and wooded shore extend the view beyond the formal planting. This complete park scene makes timekeeping part of an inviting place to pause.
