Leaf Umbrellas Fill with Autumn Color

Published · Updated

Leaf umbrellas turn a gust beneath the maple trees into a bright autumn game. Three children hold blue dotted umbrellas upside down, using the curved yellow handles to make broad bowls for falling maple leaves. Orange and gold shapes drift between the branches, with a few already resting against the fabric and its slender spokes.

Different patterned outfits make each child easy to pick out without competing with the canopies. Their faces remain above the umbrella rims as they watch the leaves and glance toward one another. Warm light catches the thin leaf edges, while the ground stays softly shaded. The wider view gives the children space to move and keeps the whole activity visible.
