Blue sky divides the forest crowns
Published · Updated
Forest crowns surround winding gaps of blue sky in a view looking straight upward from the ground. Branching trunks enter from the edges and divide into finer networks beneath the leaves. The rounded canopy margins remain uneven, with bright leaf edges standing out against the open spaces above.
Sunlight passes through the outer foliage while the nearest bark stays in deeper shade. The different angles of the trunks establish the height and spread of the trees without a visible horizon. A broader central opening connects the smaller sky channels, turning the forest ceiling into a layered arrangement of dark branches, green texture and clear blue light.
