Loop Sculpture Reveals a Hide-and-Seek Grin

Published · Updated

A loop sculpture gives a game of hide-and-seek a place for one more grin. The older boy crouches beside a thick ivory curve, looking around it toward his younger brother. The smaller boy peeks out from the opening with a smile that gives him away. Their sister points toward the hiding place, joining the discovery from just behind them.

Broad white curves sweep across the play garden and rise into tall arches beyond the children. Low sections touch the soft green surface between circular planted islands. Subtle panel seams and a little wear are visible on the nearest curve. Other children and a young father move among the loops farther back, showing how the sculpture becomes part of everyday play.

Silver foliage, burgundy leaves and warm stone walls bring different textures around the smooth structure. The girl’s bright patchwork dress and the boys’ casual shirts stand out against the pale curve without taking over the whole setting. Sunlight and soft cloud shade reveal their natural expressions and grounded postures. The photograph catches the instant when hiding turns into recognition, with another arch and another possible hiding place beyond.
