Purple kohlrabi grows from the white tower
Published · Updated
Purple kohlrabi grows from the white garden tower in separate curved planting pockets. Its rounded stems sit above the openings, with long purple leaf stalks rising from the nearest bulb. A pale-green plant grows higher up, and broad veined leaves spread into the clear morning light.
Fine surface bloom and small pale marks remain visible on the near purple stem beside the smooth white shell. The tower's stacked sections curve away toward ordinary raised beds and a leafy hedge behind. Seen from a low diagonal angle, the planting turns upward through several levels, combining the bold shapes of the vegetables with a compact garden structure and sunlit foliage.
