Radial beams fill the old cooling tower
Published · Updated
An old cooling tower reveals its radial beams around a huge flared central column. The low view follows the concrete upward to broad openings between the supports, where pale sky brings soft light into the interior. Repeated vertical ribs and dark horizontal wall panels continue around the curved outer edge.
Long mineral streaks and fine formwork lines mark the surfaces without hiding their solid construction. A shallow puddle reflects part of the column beside the rough damp floor. The offset camera position emphasizes the weight of the near support and the space beyond it, making the quiet empty structure feel both immense and carefully joined.
