Sifaka bounds across the red-earth clearing

Published · Updated

A sifaka bounds across a red-earth clearing between the pale trunks of dry woodland. Its cream body rises in a brief sideways leap, with two long hind legs separated above the ground. The smaller arms stay lifted for balance, and a long pale tail curves behind the moving body.

The dark face turns toward the next part of the route. A bright eye and a rust-brown patch over the crown remain clear against the softer white fur. Below the animal, a low shadow and a small puff of dust connect the airborne moment to the soil. The movement feels quick and light within the still surroundings.

Dry leaves cover the edges of the clearing, where slender stems and spiky green plants break up the open ground. Sunlight passes through the upper branches and catches the fur along one side. Farther back, the path narrows into a quieter mixture of foliage and warm rock. The broad environmental view makes the bound part of a recognizable forest journey, with space around the animal and its next landing.
