The Copper Palm Dining Room
Published · Updated
Sunset pours through the immense arched window of this copper and walnut dining room, framing palms beside a quiet stretch of water. Warm light travels along a rose marble counter with a rounded brass edge, then breaks into reflections across the black and cream floor. A row of white woven stools follows the counter toward the window. Above, hanging ferns soften the deep teal ceiling and the warm wooden shelves of glassware.
Large copper panels fill tall wall recesses on the opposite side, their lightly hammered surfaces glowing behind shell shaped lamps. Dark walnut booths hold tables dressed in white linen, with green plants rising between the seating areas. The repeated stools, arches and floor diamonds give the long room a clear rhythm, while the varied textures keep it inviting. The photograph shows the interior at the moment when daylight and lamps meet, revealing marble veins, rattan weave and warm metal in one generous view. The open sunset beyond gives the richly finished room a sense of ease.
